U.S Khaki Green Vintage Army M51 Military Mod Parka Field Jacket

A real cult classic piece that has stood the test of time since the mod movement of the 60s. Made famous by the Gallagher brothers and the film Taxi Driver, the green parka jacket looks best paired with jeans and chunky doc martens.

History: The M51 parka jacket was first made in 1951 by the U.S. army and continued to stay in issue for a few decades after, evolving in shape and style over the years. When the U.S. stopped using them they sold the remaining to the Greek army who continued to manufacture them until the 90's. These jackets bear stamping to the tagging indicating they were made in the 1970s.

A true vintage item with unisex appeal. Looks great worn fitted or oversized depending on your style. Cold weather resistant and an essential item for any vintage lover's wardrobe. Usually retailing at £100+.

Sizing:
Model is 5ft 11, chest 38" and wears size medium. Sizing comes up with a loose classic fit rather than tailored, ideal for wearing a jumper underneath.

XS - fits chest 34-36"
Small - fits chest 37-38"
Medium - fits chest 39-41"
Large - fits chest 42-44"
XL - fits chest 45-48"

Choose "short" option for a more petite frame. The arms are around 23" shoulder to cuff rather than 24-24" and the overall length is shorter.

Condition:
The condition is very good with only light signs of wear. Inner tag design and lining colour may vary slightly from jacket to jacket but there will be no holes, stains or damage. All jackets are in excellent wearable condition.
